A Wedding Celebration That Feels Like Home

There are few things more enchanting than experiencing the Redwoods of Northern California or the Vineyards of Napa Valley. When it came to selecting the dream venue for Adam and Jennifer’s wedding we knew a private estate perfectly situated between both redwood forest and endless vineyards was meant to be.

Design cues were takes from the classic at-home feel combined with Vintage, and a little bit of Steampunk styles to create the design foundation. Dreaming of a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, the elements fell into place seamlessly and created a living room style wedding that we won’t soon forget. Both the Bride and Groom added their own unique touches to the big day as Adam handmade all the furnishings, and Jennifer collected figurines, family photos and stacks of books from their home to add plenty of character, and make it truly their own.

The palette was focused on the celebration’s central plum color, and used warm copper and wood tones with soft white accents to create a perfect balance. The bridal party was the epitome of classic beauty with plum gowns, soft curls and delicate bouquets of Queen Anne’s Lace in hand. Jennifer radiated beauty in a timeless and elegant beaded gown, and Adam looked dapper as could be in a vintage-meets-steampunk inspired vest and wide tie. To add a playful touch on their personalities and express a bonding theme, he and his groomsmen sported Star Wars cufflinks.

At the reception, guests enjoyed comfort food favorites such as gourmet pizza, Tri Tip and Pasta as family-style fare. When it came to wetting their whistles; kids merrily sipped on glass Cola bottles while the adults enjoyed some home brewed beer from the groom. Adam’s seating added to the backyard ambiance, while antique light fixtures and vintage suitcases lended a “Hazy Days of Summer” feel. Selecting games from the “Kid’s Stuff” bins and dancing gleefully to the exuberant band were the highlights of the evening. It was a joy to witness a day full of family, love, and light.
